Who are we?

At Fairmont High School, we believe that all people are leaders in some way, just waiting to be developed. The objective of Ignite is to give our younger learners the opportunity to develop and nurture their leadership skills and network with others. Through personal development opportunities they will start putting their leadership into practice and have fun while doing it.

SELECTION & VOTING PROCEDURE

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

Grade 8 to 10 learners
Learners who are hardworking, reliable, dedicated and respectful.
Learners who want to be able to speak publicly and address others with confidence.
Learners who desire to have a positive influence on the school community.
Learners who are committed to their own personal growth and development.
Learners who potentially seek formal leadership roles in the future.

HOW TO APPLY

Ignite selection is based on an application form and feedback from teachers.

Ignite applications open in January of each year.
