The candidate:
Fairmont High School is seeking a suitably qualified, preferably experienced and passionate Technology (Grade 8 – 9) and EGD (Grade 10 -11) educator to start in Term 3 of 2026 (21 July 2026 until and including 20 November 2026).
Requirements:
University graduate with a teaching qualification to Grade 12 level (post graduate studies in a related field is an advantage).
Ability to implement effective, innovative teaching strategies to enhance the learning experience. This includes the use of technology within the classroom, particularly the Google Suite (Classroom, Forms, Sheets and Slides).
Demonstrated commitment to life-long learning and personal professional development.
Active involvement in the school extra-mural programme with a high awareness of and a commitment to the holistic development of learners.
Commitment to and embodiment of the school’s core values of Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence.
The following would be preferred:
At least 3 years' recent experience of teaching Technology & EGD and teaching up to Grade 12 level.
