Fairmont High School is seeking the services of a suitably qualified and experienced Human Resources Manager to start in Term 1 of 2026.
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for performing HR-related duties at a professional level and works closely with the Executive Team. This position carries out responsibilities in the areas of employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment and employment, employment equity, and transformation.
Act as the HR Advisor to the Executive Team and Senior Management
Fulfil an HR Generalist role that includes: Recruitment and Selection, EE, Skills development, Labour Relations, Performance Management, policies and procedures, all HR administration
An HR-related degree or diploma or other relevant qualification is required.
Post graduate studies in HR or related field would be an advantage.
A Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) qualification is preferred.
Full scope of the HR portfolio.
A working knowledge of all applicable legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA, etc.).
Compiling Employment Equity Reports and Plans.
Compiling Annual Training Reports (ATR) and Skills Development Plans.
Using Google Suite, MS Office, PMPS, e-Recruitment and PERMIS.
If the following requirements are not met, applications will not be considered:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner in a school environment is essential.
Liaising with the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) with regard to various queries.
WCED Recruitment and Selection process and administration.
A relevant, up-to-date, comprehensive CV showing school-related HR experience.
Educational Qualifications and transcripts.
