The candidate: 

• Fairmont High School is seeking a suitably qualified, preferably experienced and passionate Technology (Grade 8 – 9) and EGD (Grade 10 -11) educator to start in Term 3 of 2026 (21 July 2026 until and including 20 November 2026). 

Requirements: 

• University graduate with a teaching qualification to Grade 12 level (post graduate studies in a related field is an advantage). 

• Ability to implement effective, innovative teaching strategies to enhance the learning experience. This includes the use of technology within the classroom, particularly the Google Suite (Classroom, Forms, Sheets and Slides). 

• Demonstrated commitment to life-long learning and personal professional development.

• Active involvement in the school extra-mural programme with a high awareness of and a commitment to the holistic development of learners. 

• Commitment to and embodiment of the school’s core values of Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence. 

The following would be preferred:

• At least 3 years' recent experience of teaching Technology & EGD and teaching up to Grade 12 level.
