1995 Reunion

Reunion

The matric 1995 reunion was a huge success!  Avocado Restaurant in Durbanville was jam packed with ex "Monties" catching up on old times!  The turnout was great and it was a fantastic chance for all to get reacquainted after so many years.

Many people had stayed close friends and were thrilled to find another long lost classmate.  The party went on to the wee hours of the morning... just goes to show that some things never change.

Special thanks must go to Julie Hulley (Hauck) for the amazing job she did of organising everything down to the last detail.  It was a well attended function with much laughter and shared memories.  Lets start making plans for the next one!!!

1985 Reunion

Reunion

The 1985 Twenty Year Reunion was held on Saturday, 25 August 2005, at the Bloemmendal Restaurant in Durbanville. By popular demand this was extended to cover the 1984 Twenty First Year Reunion. The reunion was extremely well attended by both years with past pupils and their partners taking the numbers to over 300. With the party in full flight, the DJ played on and the party continued through until sunrise the next morning. For most the thrill of meeting up and renewing old friendships was a momentous occasion. For others it was more surreal. One of the comments was that it felt like being in the twilight zone - seeing faces you can't quite place until you picture them twenty years earlier in their PT clothes or a soccer outfit. A special thanks to the 1985 organizing team of Robyn (Fowler) Hierse, Joe du Buy, Nick Jervis, Lesa de Nobrega, Janice Robeck, Allan Coldman, Stephen van der Merwe and James Cranke along with the 1984 organizing team of Caren de Wit and Monica van Kuik who put together an outstanding event that will long be remembered. Thanks also to Arjen de Bruin for his entertaining memoirs of 1985 and the characters of that time.
