Fairmont Rated In Top 10 Schools In South Africa Based On Mathematics Results

It is a very proud moment for us to announce that Fairmont has been rated as one of the top 10 public schools in South Africa by being honoured by the Department of Basic Education at a gala function in Pretoria this past Monday.  This is based on our achievement in the Mathematics Matric examinations of 2009.

A special award of R150 000 was received by the school from the Anglo American Chairman’s Fund to honour our achievements.

Fairmont was selected in the top 10 from 200 schools identified by the Department of Basic Education and a panel of experts from the Anglo American Chairman’s Fund.

We at Fairmont are thrilled to be acknowledged for this achievement and we thank our Mathematics department for all their hard work over the years.
